H2G2 sketches

Since I have finished all the year's assignments and there are still two weeks left, my art teacher gave me a choice of three texts to illustrate: a Lovecraft short story, another one from French writer Catherine Dufour, and chapter 7 of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, which starts with Arthur and Ford appreciating Vogon poetry and ends with them being thrown off the spaceship. I decided to illustrate the Dufour one, since, let's be honest, if I want to do Douglas Adams fanart I can do it at home^^ But I still made a few sketches while thinking about it. Here are Arthur (with more than a hint of Martin Freeman in his looks), Ford (I tried to stay faithful to what I remembered of his description in the book, i.e. "looks like his nose is pulling his face forwards" and "gives off the impression he might eat you at any moment") and the Vogon guard (I just remembered the huge noses in the film and improvised from there).

(PS: I found out Ford is named 'Ford Escort' in the French translation. And that Vogon poetry in French does have a kind of alien charm)
